Sailing CoursesUnited States & International Sailing Courses

The sailing courses listed below are "live aboard," meaning the boat serves as your hotel as well as your classroom. Cabins on the boats are mostly double occupancy. In addition to accommodations, the cost of the course includes all instruction and provisioning for breakfasts, lunches, snacks, beverages and some dinners, which we all prepare and eat aboard. Part of the fun of cruising in new areas is trying the local cuisine, so we do plan to eat some dinners ashore. All dockage, mooring fees, fuel costs and cruising taxes are also included in the price. We spend the nights at anchor or on a mooring or docked at marinas in different ports and harbors. These live-aboard courses provide you with the opportunity to really go cruising, because you are living the lifestyle while you learn the skills. Oh, yes also included, at no extra charge, is a whole lot of fun!

We get mail about our sailing courses ...

"Whenever I read testimonials in a brochure I am always skeptical & suspect that they are a product of talented marketers. No More! What a great experience I had! Thank you for such a worthwhile course. You demystified sailing for me and as a result it seems much less complicated and indeed something I can actually enjoy. It was one of those times in one’s life that become etched in one’s memory as a positive learning, character building experience. And not only more confident about sailing, I have made new friends and have one delighted husband who no longer has that unvoiced worry that he might have to sell his beloved boat as his wife doesn’t like sailing."  Barbara

"Nothing I read in your brochure or newsletter prepared me for what lay ahead. I always have high expectations but my five days with you and Vanessa surpassed anything I had hoped for! It was evident that you and Vanessa love what you are doing."   Susan

"I took the boat out of the slip and then all the way up to Spencer’s Cove. I took it into the mooring field without any problem and Jim tied it up. I feel so much better being on the boat now. You build confidence in all of us. I know Jim has been impressed. It was a wonderful class and I am telling everyone that even mentions boating about it."   Barbara

"Hi! Just wanted to let you know that we made our first overnight passage this year –
Boston to Maine & back! Thank you!"   Sandy
