The powerboating courses listed in on our Web
site are "live aboard", meaning the
boat serves as your hotel as well as your classroom. Cabins
on the boats are mostly double occupancy. In addition to
accommodations, the cost of the course includes all
instruction and provisioning for breakfasts, lunches,
snacks, beverages and some dinners, which we all prepare and
eat aboard. Part of the fun of cruising in new areas is
trying the local cuisine, so we do plan to eat some dinners
ashore. All dockage, mooring fees, fuel costs and cruising
taxes are also included in the price. We spend the nights at
anchor or on a mooring or docked at marinas in different
ports and harbors. These live-aboard courses provide you
with the opportunity to really go cruising, because you are
living the lifestyle while you learn the skills. Oh, yes -
also included, at no extra charge, is a whole lot of fun!

ADVANCED POWERBOATING CLASSES
You asked for an advanced course - here it is! Put your
existing skills to work while further enhancing your
knowledge and learning to take charge of the boat. This
class encourages you to take increased responsibility and
make the necessary decisions. You and your fellow students
will be involved in every detail of planning and
accomplishing each day’s cruise from one harbor to another.
Sea Sense instructors will be there to guide and support you
throughout.

This class will take us across the Straits from the U.S.
islands to the Canadian ones! In addition to the expert
boating instruction you expect, learn what it's like to
clear Customs, use different currency and experience
cruising to a neighboring country!

This is the course that's been featured in many cruising
magazines! Learn all the basics with the spectacular scenery
of the San Juan Islands as a backdrop.
